ScribeLens (“the Service”) analyses text you submit and reports signals that are statistically associated with AI-generated writing, including a document-level verdict and sentence-level highlights. The Service is operated by the ScribeLens team (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms.
AI-writing detection is a statistical estimate, not a fact. No detector — including this one — can prove how a text was written. Results can be wrong in both directions: human writing (especially formal or academic writing) can carry AI-like signals, and AI writing can evade detection. You agree that:
You must provide accurate information when registering and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. You may delete your account at any time from the Account page; deletion is permanent and removes your account data and API keys.
Free accounts receive a monthly token allowance (1 token = 1 word of analysed text) and a monthly report-export allowance. Very long documents are analysed up to a per-scan word cap, which is stated in the report when it applies. Paid plans and token packs, where offered, are described on the Pricing page. Payments are processed by third-party providers (such as Stripe or Coinbase Commerce); we never see or store your card details. Promotional codes are subject to their stated conditions and may be withdrawn.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
You keep all rights to the text you submit. You grant us only the limited right to process it for the duration of the analysis. We do not store your submitted text, publish it, or use it to train models — the one exception is that if you choose to create a shareable verification link, we store a copy of that report (including its text) so anyone with the link can open it, and delete it after 180 days. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what is retained.
The Service is provided without uptime guarantees and may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued. We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date, and your continued use constitutes acceptance.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service, including decisions made in reliance on detection results. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
